Shanghai Ocean Aquarium

Thousands of exotic sea creatures ,including rare and endangered species,with bulbous eyes and sharp teeth swim in shanghai Ocean Aquarium,which is located at 158 Yincheng Road ,the Lujiazui Finance and the Trade Zone,Pudong.It offers a veritable ocean of underwater sights and is a window to the wonders of the deep.

The aquarium has already moved in the tanks some 16,000 marine animals,about 80 percent of the total expected habitans there from 300 species.

Like its neighbors—the Oriental Pearl Broadcasting and Television Tower and Jinmao Tower ---the aquarium is futuristic.A silver wall,shaped like a lotes seed, encloses the aquarium and serves as the facility’s main building which together with an ancillary office block ,cover 12.903 square meters of land and 20,538 square meters of developed space
