The Third Central China Investment & Trade Exposition, or the 2008 Central China Expo, which concluded on April 28th in Wuhan, capital of central China's Hubei province, attracted a foreign direct investment (FDI) of more than 16.1 billion U.S. dollars with agreements signed on 673 projects. In addittion, 766 domestic projects have been signed with funds totalling 245.119 billion yuan.
During the expo, six central-China provinces also signed export contracts valued at 1.482 billion U.S. dollars and domestic trade contracts valued at 3.057 billion yuan. Meanwhile, a number of overseas contracted projects, labor cooperation projects, design and consulting projects and foreign investment projects have been signed.
