A sign language book for World Expo 2010 has been issued by East China Normal University.

A ceremony was held to mark the occasion on May 1, coinciding with the one-year countdown to Expo 2010. Students of the university were also called on to apply to become Expo 2010 volunteers at the ceremony.

About 400 students submitted application forms on May 1, the first day recruitment of volunteers started.

The students also expressed hope that the event is a big success.
