During tourist season, tourists that visit Potala Palace must make reservations for entrance tickets one day in advance, according to an announcement published by the Tourism Administration of Tibet Autonomous Region on May 4.
The announcement requested that during tourist season, tourists that visit Potala Palace must make reservations for entrance tickets one day in advance.
There is no limit on either the number of tourists to Shol Village of Potala Palace or the length of their visit there.
Tourists are prohibited from carrying firearms, ammunition, military equipment, police equipment, controlled knives and tools, inflammable and explosive materials and other items that the government lists as dangerous articles into the Potala Palace.
All articles that visitors bring with them must pass through security checks while entering the front door of the Potala Palace.
If necessary, visitors are even required to open their cases or bags for inspection.  By China Tibet Online
