BELGRADE, April 11 (Xinhua) -- A team of Slovenian mountaineers set off on Saturday to repeat their feat of successfully conquering Mt. Qomolangma, the world's highest mountain, which they climbed 30 years ago as part of the then Yugoslavian expedition.
The 10-member team left
The expedition was again led by legendary Slovenian mountaineer Tone Skarja.
In 1979, the 25-member Yugoslavian expedition carved a new route on the demanding West Ridge of Mt. Qomolangma, since known as the
Stremfelj set a new record 10 years later by teaming up with his wife, Marija, to become the first married couple to climb the world's summit.
