Dubbed as "Switzerland in Tibet", Ra' og Lake is located in the southwest of Baxoi county in Chamdo Prefecture. With an altitude of 3,850 meters, the lake covers 22 sq.km. And the lake is most beautiful when it turns from spring to summer.
Near the Ra' og Lake lies Shudon Temple with a history of more than 500 years. The temple was first built in 1496 and over 100 lamas once lived here when it was most prosperous. Later it was destroyed but was rebuilt in 1986 and now it occupies 835 sq.m.   Source:China Tibet Information Center
