Over a thousand visitors attended the opening day of an exhibition titled "Democratic Reform in Tibet" in Beijing on Tuesday. It's the first large scale exhibition of its kind. At the opening Liu Yunshan, a senior party official, said that the exhibition showed Tibet is an inseparable part of China.The exhibition exposed the dark side of the old Tibet and looks back at the peaceful liberation of Tibet in 1951 and the extraordinary social development there after 50 years of democratic reform. Visitors can learn more about Tibet's past and present. An audience member said, "Comparing old Tibet and Tibet after liberation, especially after the democratic reform, I'm astonished by the change over the decades."
