Currently the Lhasa branch of the People's Bank of China nailed down the 5 key aspects of credit support in 2009 based on research of banking in the Tibet Autonomous Region.
Rural areas will be supported to increase rural people's income and the support for the local infrastructure will be strengthened. Banks will offer focus on support for characteristic industries to help the material advantages in Tibet as they are transferred into industry dominance. Financial services for small and medium enterprises will be perfected. In addition, consumer credit will be promoted as well.  Source:China Tibet Information Center
