BEIJING , April 30 -- 234 countries and international organizations have confirmed participation in the 2010 Shanghai World Expo.

According to Bureau of Shanghai Expo Coordination, so far, no exhibitors have withdrawn participation due to the financial crisis and other factors.

Nearly 20 countries and international organizations have begun building their pavillions.

United Arab Emirates (UAE) are building an exhibition pavillion with an area of 6000 square meters. The UAE didn't have any plan to downsize the scale due to the crisis.
